Leverage SBIR/STTR Funding to Create a Diverse Scientific Workforce

Are you a life sciences entrepreneur or small business in need of resources for your research? Scientific innovators can get funding and other support through the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs.
Join the National Institute on Aging, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities on Thursday, October 20th from 9:00A to 11:00A at University City Science Center.
During this workshop, attendees will learn how to leverage SBIR/STTR grants and other diverse programs for researchers and academic entrepreneurs. Participants will hear from small business staff about how to use non-dilutive SBIR/STTR funding and resources to help advance their companies and commercialize promising technologies. A dedicated Q&A session will follow speaker presentations. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss their project and eligibility with NIH Program Directors representing three institutes.
One-on-one meetings with agency officers will take place between 12:30 – 3 p.m. More information to follow on eligibility, scheduling, and the meeting sign up form.
