The Department of Energy has issued its FY 2013 Phase I (Release 2) Funding Opportunity Announcement (DE-FOA-0000801) for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. Qualified small businesses with strong research capabilities in science or engineering in any of the research areas sought in the announcement are encouraged to apply.
DOE program offices participating in this Funding Opportunity Announcement:
- Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability
- Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
- Office of Environmental Management
- Office of Fossil Energy
- Office of Nuclear Energy
Letters of Intent must be submitted by December 17, 2012, 5:00 pm EST.
Grant applications to either program must be submitted by February 5, 2013, 11:59 p.m. EST.

Submitting your Letter of Intent
Letters of intent will only be accepted electronically through the DOE Portfolio Analysis and Management System (PAMS) website: https://pamspublic.science.energy.gov/ . Please refer to Part IV B of the Funding Opportunity Announcement for instructions for submitting your letter of intent.
