PURPOSE: The SBIR/STTR programs are great opportunities for small technical companies, however applying for funding can be challenging. There are numerous requirements and quirks that new applicants might not be aware of, and these unknowns can result in a strong technical project being rejected. This workshop will identify the minefields and focus on the proposal content that can make a difference.
DATE & TIME: June 1, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
LOCATION: Ben Franklin Technology Partners NEP’s main office at 125 Goodman Drive, Bethlehem PA.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This workshop is designed for companies that would like to improve their success rate with the SBIR/STTR programs. Since this is not an introductory program, attendees should be familiar with the SBIR or STTR programs. Ideally, the attendees have already submitted proposals and desire to learn how to improve their chances of being awarded a grant.
THE PRESENTER: Jim Greenwood is a nationally recognized expert on the SBIR/STTR programs. He has reviewed thousands of proposals and led hundreds of workshops. Mr. Greenwood’s full bio is on their website: http://www.g-jgreenwood.com/.
INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION: Companies have the option of submitting an unfunded proposal to Mr. Greenwood prior to the workshop. Mr. Greenwood will review these proposals and address any issues in the workshop. The overall proposal will be kept confidential; only the issues will be discussed.
