Event Description:
These low cost, one day workshops provide in depth guidance on the DOD SBIR / STTR programs and are ideal for those new to the program as well as those who have participated in SBIR or STTR previously. The Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) will have a special discussion on the recent SBIR program reauthorization and how that will specifically impact current and future SBIR/STTR awards.
The DoD SBIR & STTR grant programs have over $1.3B available to fund early stage R&D projects based on the needs of each agency. DoD is different than all other agencies who have SBIR/STTR grants, and each DoD component is different. Learn how to tap into this valuable funding mechanism!
Event will be taught by Mr. John Davis of the SBIR Resource Center. With over 17 years experience in teaching SBIR, Mr. Davis brings a unique perspective into the program and provides detailed content that is sure to make a difference your approach to writing winning SBIR/STTR for the Dept. of Defense.

At this Session Hear Nick Karangelen, President of Trident Systems in Fairfax, VA
Trident Systems has a 27 year history of success in offering innovative solutions to address challenges facing government and commercial customers in Radar Systems, C4I Systems, and Assured Collaboration Systems. Trident has been a participant in the SBIR program since 1989 and has over 75 Phase I, Phase II and Phase III SBIR contract awards. Numerous SBIR project transitions include an NSA approved Cross Domain Chat capability, unattended ground sensors, wireless local area network tailored for nuclear submarines, the Mobile Optical Radar Sensor System, and the Enhanced Secure Communications Converter. Trident has also recently been invited to submit a proposal under the Navy Rapid Innovation Fund program.
