NIH Small Business Program Funding Opportunities Are Now Available

NIH’s Seed Fund is back, with NEW Small Business Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) available and several upcoming opportunities to help applicants develop strong, competitive applications. Eligible U.S. small businesses advancing innovative biomedical technologies toward public health impact – now is the time to start!

In addition to reviewing the current funding opportunities, applicants are encouraged to register for NIH Small Business 101, a new webinar series designed to help small businesses prepare for this next chapter of the program. Attendees will learn how to navigate new opportunities and policy changes, with each session followed by live Q&A with NIH Small Business experts.

  • America’s Seed Fund is Back – Powered by HHS Tuesday, June 9 @1:30pm ET
  • Building Your Budget Tuesday, Tuesday July 14 @1:30pm ET
  • Managing Foreign Risk Tuesday, August 18 @1:30pm ET

Our first piece of advice to applicants: connect with NIH Institute and Center scientific program officers early as you prepare your application! These conversations help applicants better understand program priorities and determine whether their proposed project is a strong fit. Applicants can also explore NIH’s online calendar of Small Business events – including opportunities to speak one-on-one with program staff. Additional resources – including sample applications, company registration guidance, and application support materials – are available on the NIH Small Business website. Start with resources online and then join us live on June 9!

NIH looks forward to receiving strong applications from small businesses developing bold, high-impact technologies with the potential to improve health and save lives.
