“Succeeding With SBIR” Webinar Series – Hosted by Foresight Science & Technology

More information HERE

Starting in March 2016, Foresight is partnering with various SBIR agencies to deliver a series of web clinics on working with SBIR agencies. Gap funding is typically the most vexing part of developing immature technology and SBIR programs are one of the most viable solutions. The each session will be delivered by a different SBIR program manager who will give a 20 minute lesson, followed by a 10 minute Q&A session.

Program Managers want to share their knowledge to help you:

  • Understand the application process
  • Know what types of technology they are looking for
  • Become familiar with the regulatory requirements
  • What is required after receiving an award
  • Understand the specifics of that program

Foresight’s first session will occur on March 30th, 1:00 PM ET and will be delivered by Peter Atherton of NSF SBIR program. For an invite, please email chris.mener@foresightst.com.

Peter Atherton joined the National Science Foundation in 2013. Prior to joining NSF, he was Chief Technology Officer at MIKOH Corporation, a company he founded in Sydney, Australia. He has commercialized technologies in the fields of diffractive optics, laser-based marking and radio frequency identification, and developed a new approach to internet-based personal authentication for use in mobile banking. Peter holds a PhD in Physics (quantum optics), and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Queensland (Australia).

Foresight is organizing these webinars as way to give back to the innovation community. Their goal is to help universities, researchers, and entrepreneurs better understand the programs out there to help find funding to further their innovations. This web series is completely free and can be joined by anyone with an invite, space is limited so come early to reserve your spot. If you cannot make the live session recordings of the webinars will be posted on Foresight’s YouTube channel HERE.
